This 2-day course introduces the foundations of being part of a Scrum Team.
Scrum teams are cross-functional and include the skill-sets of software engineers, architects, analysts, testers, UI designers, etc. The objective of this certification is to ensure that Scrum Team members know enough about Scrum to effectively contribute to a Scrum project, to provide practical knowledge of Scrum, it’s roles, artifacts, and ceremonies. This course will show how an agile development team works together to deliver quality products.
Successful candidates will be awarded the Scrum Developer Certified (SDC™) certification by SCRUMstudy after successfully completing this course and passing the 90 minute online proctored certification exam.

We’ll discuss the history of Scrum, the Scrum philosophy and principles, and begin to understand why agility produces better results.
We’ll introduce the Scrum framework, the processes, principles, ceremonies, and artifacts, and the benefits they offer to product delivery.
The Scrum Team
We’ll introduce the Scrum Team, their roles and responsibilities, and how the team delivers results. We’ll present the qualities of effective agile team members, and discuss how these qualities help increase the quality of results.
Project Phases in Scrum
We’ll present the different phases of a Scrum project, and what each Scrum role is responsible for in each phase.
There will be a series of classroom exercises throughout the duration of the course, which will apply the principles being taught.

The Scrum Process
You will understand the Scrum process and use this knowledge to build better products.
The Scrum Roles
You will understand the 3 main roles of Scrum. The Scrum Master, the Product Owner, and the Scrum Developer Team. You will know how to interact with the Scrum Master and Product Owner as part of the the Scrum team, and how to work alongside other Scrum team members.
The Scrum Artifacts
You will understand the different types of artifacts in Scrum, and which ones are useful for developers to convey information to the rest of the team, stakeholders, and other interested parties.
